Carry-on Baggage Allowance

The passengers are only allowed to carry two-piece carry on baggage allowance on board:

The size of the carry-on baggage must be within 23 x 40 x 55 cm and weight must be within 8 kg. The maximum dimension includes handles, wheel, and pockets. Your carry-on baggage must be fitted under the front seat or in the overhead bin.

Personal item allowance- It is important to note that the size of the personal item must be within 16x33x43 cm. Examples of personal items include –

  • Carry-on bag, roller bag, backpack, briefcase, laptop

If your baggage is delayed due to some reason and you want it on an urgent basis then it is assured that your baggage will be delivered by the Airlines within 24 hours of your scheduled arrival.

  • If your baggage is delayed, lost, or damaged, you will get a waiver on the Air Canada baggage fee you paid to check in.
  • As per Air Canada baggage claim policy, in case of destruction, damage, loss, or delay of your checked baggage, you can claim up to 2400 USD as compensation. This limit applies to all domestic and international Air Canada bookings.
