British Airways lets you enjoy its superior baggage allowance, wherein you can carry two items of cabin baggage and several checked baggage options. The standard sizes and weights are described below:

Hand Bag: The dimension should be up to 40 X 30 X 15cm. Besides, the weight should not exceed 23KG.

Cabin Bag: The dimension should be up to 56 X 45 X 25cm, whereas the maximum weight should not exceed 23KG.

Checked Baggage: The dimension of the checked baggage should be up to 90 X 75 X 43cm. The maximum weight allowed is 23KG.

You can carry handbags or laptop-sized bags in the cabin as hand baggage. On busy flights, you may be asked to check in your cabin bags that are larger in size. It is why; you should carry your important documents in your smaller bags.

Note: Your checked baggage allowance and the maximum permitted weight will depend upon your British Airways tickets. With upper-class travel, you can get more baggage allowances.

What if I have extra bags?

After covering the free baggage allowance based on your fare class, you will have to pay for the additional bags. You can calculate your baggage allowance using the calculator. If the baggage exceeds the standard allowance, you will have to put your larger bag on hold as checked baggage.

How do I correct the name on the tickets?

When all of the flights on a traveler’s ticket are operated by British Airways, most spelling problems in their name can be quickly fixed over the phone. British Airways does not charge for this type of amendment, but if the ticket’s taxes, fees, carrier imposed costs, or fuel surcharges have changed during the flight booking, the airline will charge the additional money in such a case. You can refer to the name change policy on the website.
